The Importance of Trust

November 2, 2016

Anyone who works with a client understands the importance of customer service.

Many installers don’t have a million dollar marketing budget. Many of their jobs come from word of mouth. Trust is a major asset to any installer, which is why it is important to keep the lines of communication open between you and your customer. Disregarding this idea not only harms your reputation but that of others in the industry.

Trust starts from the moment you take the call up until the job is finished.

Making the decision to go with artificial grass shouldn’t be taken lightly. It is a financial investment – for you and your customers. There are many ways to secure a positive relationship between you and your customers and one of them is showcasing your knowledge on your product, installation and honest communication.

Upon arrival, every installer should have a checklist to go through before starting the job. It’s important to be aware of your surroundings to make sure nothing will obstruct the quality of the product and installation. This not only protects the consumer, but this protects your company and crew. Does the house have any double pane windows? These windows can melt the turf  and it should be recommended that the homeowner has them tinted before installation starts.

Sometimes there are hazards that are difficult to see with the naked eye. Always ask the homeowner if there are any wires or pipes that they are aware of. This can obstruct the household and create problems with the installation. Nut grass can eventually grow through the turf and extra precautions must be taken before turf is installed.

These are just a few things to watch out for before starting any job. As an installer, it is your job make the customer aware of any possible issues before the installation so that you both can walk away with complete satisfaction.
